a blogger vacation

i haven't written a whole lot in "iwannabeyourblog's" debut week, have i? between working twelve to fourteen hour days so i can leave on vacation and the whole rafeal palmeiro thing (i insisted he didn't use steroids, my wife argued that he most certainly did), i haven't slept at all. is it really worth it to go on a vacation if you have to work twice as hard before you go and twice as hard when you get back? it hasn't really seemed like it this week. but it's friday now, i can sleep in for a week (with the exception of tommorrow's 5 am flight), i'm on my way to san francisco, and i'm starting to get excited. i'm still not sure it's worth it, but at least when i get back i can write about bridges and seafood rather than about how tired i am. on the itinerary: a giant's game at pacbell without barry bonds; a one-day sentence to alcatraz; see-food; walking across the golden gate bridge; china town and my first bite of kung pao spicy chicken and won ton soup since the infamous "fire wok incident"; wine-tasting (and water-tasting) in napa valley; and driving down the pacific coast and across the stunning seventeen-mile drive in our rented geo metro courtesty of avis rent-a-car.
